ATTENTION ALL
City of Newhall Water Users
We Need your input for the MANDATORY EPA Lead and Copper Service Line Report.
All public water service providers are currently required to gather information and submit the city’s EPA Lead and Copper report by October 16, 2024. This is a rule and regulation enforced by the EPA to obtain a better understanding of the materials being used for the customer’s water line that runs from the main to the meter.
The city will need to report the type of service lines for ALL properties connected to the city’s public water supply, regardless of ownership status. This does not mean service lines need to be replaced by the deadline, only identified. At a minimum, the city will need to report if the service lines are classified as lead, galvanized, non-lead or unknown.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED AS BOTH TIME & COST SAVINGS MEASURES! If residents do not self report the information, the city will be required to schedule inspections for any property that does not provide the information.
